Do you offer a free plan?
Yes. Slashit has a permanent free plan that covers the core text expansion, basic templates and the Magical AI rewriter so you can build your first shortcuts and use them across every app on Mac or Windows — no credit card required.
Can I try Premium before paying?
The free plan lets you use Slashit for as long as you like, so you can try the core workflow before upgrading. When you're ready for the full feature set, paid plans start at $5/month or $54/year, and there's also a one-time $39 lifetime deal on AppSumo with no recurring fees.
How much does Slashit App cost?
Free plan: $0/month. Premium: $5/month, or $54/year (saves about $6/year vs monthly). Lifetime deal: starts at $39 on AppSumo — one payment, no subscription. Team plans are also available for shared workspaces.
Can I use Slashit App on multiple devices?
Yes. Slashit runs on both macOS and Windows, and your snippets, dynamic templates and Magical AI shortcuts work across the apps you already use on each device. iPhone and iPad apps are on the roadmap for 2027.
How is Slashit App different from using ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is great when you need to chat with an AI in a separate window. Slashit lives one keystroke away inside whatever app you're already typing in — Gmail, Slack, Notion, your CRM. Highlight any text, press your Magical hotkey, and Slashit rewrites it in place using your saved prompt and your preferred AI model. No tab-switching, no copy-paste cycle, no retyping the same prompts every time. You can also bring your own API key (BYOK) so requests go directly through your own ChatGPT, Gemini or other model.
What if Slashit App isn't working properly?
First, restarting the app fixes most temporary issues. If the problem persists, ping the team in our Discord — engineers monitor it daily and respond actively. You can also email us via the contact page, and we'll get back to you fast.
Do you store my data or writing?
Your snippets, templates and clipboard history live locally on your device. When you trigger a Magical AI rewrite we send only the highlighted text to the AI model you've selected (your own API key when you use BYOK; otherwise our default provider). We don't keep a log of what you type or what you rewrite.

What is Slashit App and how does it work?
